On Friday, May 27th, Eric Samual Richmann and (Mary) Jennifer Ramirez went downtown and privately shared their vows, committed to each other were pronounced husband and wife and gave each other a sweet kiss to seal the deal!!! It was beautiful and perfect in its own way!! We chose to have a private ceremony. We had no friends or family. It was something we both talked about and had decided on. This time around. Next time around we plan to renew our vows and invite EVERYONE! This time, although many say the wedding is for the family, for us the Wedding was for us. We brought up the subject of marriage in 4 major moments in our relationship. End of Summer of 2010 we decided that our relationship was serious and we were going to commit to making sure this is something we wanted to do. Thanksgiving of 2010 we told my mom what our intentions and thoughts were, we got her blessing. January 2011 we decided that we were going to marry in 2011. In March 2011 after a scary event, we set a date and said no more messing around we ARE going to get married on THIS date and then we discussed what our plans were. We shared that with our parents, family and only close friends. The love that we have is so true, honest, genuine, deep and amazing! At 28 (Eric) and 27 (Jen) we said, this is it for us, this is where we want to be, this is the relationship that we want to cherish for the rest of our lives, we want to grow old together, we want to share a home together, we want to share love together, we want to travel together, we want to be each others best friend, we want to be lovers, we want to be there through good and yucky, we want to support and encourage each other, we want to be each others biggest fans, we want to have kids together, we want to be together, period! We have both lived our own paths in lives, came across hardships, loss, bad relationships and so forth and by the grace of God our paths crossed and in His timing. We are not perfect. We work on ourselves individually and in our relationship daily. The bottom line is that we love each other and we will with God in our hearts and in our home do life together the best we know how always growing and learning from others, from each other, from mistakes, from ourselves. We are so blessed. So blessed. We had a dear friend Cori Derksen capture our special day by taking our photos after the special event. We spent time with my mom and nieces in Kerman and spent dinner with his parents, sister, brother-in-law and nieces. It was a special day surrounded by special moments and we will always cherish that day. We had a beautiful rainy reception the following Saturday and it was small and quaint in our backyard but we loved it. We are so blessed by those that were there and celebrated with us and we wish we could've had all our family and friends there but we look forward to celebrating our anniversary and renewing our vows one day with all that were there and those that couldn't be. I (Jen) am so excited to be Eric's wife!!! And so excited Eric is my husband!!! It has been a wonderful journey and we look forward to continuing our new journey together as husband and wife, as we began our own little family. Starting a fresh life together!! We're excited!
