Do you pray daily? Do you praise daily? I (Jen) will admit that I don't as much as I should. I would love to say that not a day passes but that would not be true. But it is always on my heart, I do always have the intention to do so. When I was younger like many I had a prayer calendar now I carry a little prayer list. I pray for folks in my life in whatever area of my life they are in or for specific areas of life. I have come to learn that in times of trial it is also an awesome thing to Praise as well. Praise God for the wonderful people or things in your life that He has blessed you with and often times it will uplift your spirit and help you continue on with your day.
Life is hard and quick to pass us by and it throws us major hard times! It's easy to allow our hearts to grow bitter and anxious and I allow too many times to allow my heart to grow anxious. I've been spending more time in scripture and it has been good for me and my heart and for the relationship that Eric and I have. Not only am I sharpening myself as a person, woman, daughter, employee, but also as a future wife. I've had to take today to rest and not pack my day off with too much to do especially when your doctor tells you that you need to rest and find ways to relax and not stress out because it is harming your body then you know something has to be done.
A way to calm my spirit and to bring peace and joy into our marriage and household I made up a prayer and praise calendar. Someone or something we can focus on for the day and wish them well and pray for their well being and for their hearts or for specific situations or even for ourselves. We take that day and focus on that and on those who maybe we don't get to see on a daily basis it allows us to keep love in our hearts for everyone and compassion and to not let the busyness get in the way of remembering those we love or remembering to work on our relationship. It's a great way for us to stay connected with God, with each other and with those we love in some form. And it allows us to take a moment and breathe and rest in Him. Try it. You might like it! :)
